We are an architectural design duo who work together on socially-conscious and community-centered projects.

Mark is an architect at London-based architecture, urban design and research studio We Made That, where he’s been responsible for the design and delivery of a number of community-led public realm projects. These have ranged in scale from newspapers to market furniture, kiosks, small buildings and town squares.

Cristina is an architect, part of Croydon Council’s Placemaking Team and her experience ranges from brief building and urban strategy to concept design and community engagement.

Together, we have written a public space charter’ to aim more equitable spaces in our cities
, explored case studies of community-owned and socially-conscious pubs, made a high streets playbook’ with a set of spatial and policy actions to improve high streets, designed a multi-use community structure in collaboration with Store Projects and Silo Studio, and designed a high street installation and workshop programme promoting healthy food growing with GROW.
